 Hello everyone,    Here is the final version of my opening film. Creating this movie has been a lot of fun and educational at the same time. I am so grateful I got the chance to learn many things about the filmmaking process that I can even use in my daily life.  Me and my partner worked really hard to make this film, so I hope you enjoy it.

   Editing is a very difficult process to do, which for me has been one of the hardest things to do. Me and my partner have been making some new changes to our almost finished film. This required me to change little things, but it still takes a long time. Here are some things we changed: We added a different background music. We found a different sound that we felt it sounded scarier and flowed better with our movie. Adding more credits. Removing the news report scene, this scene caused our storyline to change a little bit. We replaced the news report scene to make Jessica run back home and explain to her mom what just happened.  We changed our hook to show the killer opening the door to Jessica's house. This scene required me to add sound effects of a door opening and turning up the volume for the background music.

 Hello everyone,    Now that we had to change our movie a bit, we also had to film new scenes. These scenes consisted of Jessica (Main Character) talking to her mom in a bratty way. We chose to add this scene to add relatability. Our target audience are teenagers, so this scene will engage them more as this is a typical stereotype of teenagers in movies. Here is the new scene:

 Welcome everyone,    During media studies class we had to peer review. We showed our first draft of our movie to another group. We also had to peer review their movie too. I was really glad we got to do this as we received good criticism. We were told that we needed to add more context into our movie and to have a better hook. They told us when adding context to the story, we should add more insight to our main character. So here are the things we are going to change: When showing the production company logo and title we will add music in the background. In the beginning of the movie instead of jumping straight to the park scene, we will show Jessica (the main character) and her mom having a conversation. The conversation will consist of a stereotypical teenage conversation by showing her mom being worried about Jessica going out late. Jessica acts like a bratty teenager and will slam the door when she leaves. In the end instead of having the news report scene we will show Jessica run

    I have finally finished the first draft of my opening scene. The movie is a thriller called locked up. It’s about two friends hanging out at a park late at night. They receive a notification about a serial killer on the loose. The serial killer decides the kidnap Jessica while killing her friend, Mariana. My teammate was the main character, Jessica. After I got all me shots I had to edit them. It was very difficult, but exciting at the same time. I had to create my own sound effects by using voice memos and I used an app called wevideo to edit the movie. I hope you enjoy my movie.

 Hello everyone,    Sound editing in film involves the process of finished sound in films. This process involves these three main elements: recorded dialogue, sound effects, and music into a complete, organized soundtrack. This involves editing the length of audio, adjusting the volume, balancing the sound elements, and applying sound effects.     We incorporated sound effects in our movie by including music, an alarm, a voiceover, and sound car effects. To include the voiceover, we used voice memos to record it and then we uploaded it the computer. I then arranged it to fit well with the flow of the movie when I edited it into WeVideo. WeVideo had a lot of audios to choose from. So, I would simply choose the sound effect I needed and added it to the film.
